They Oughta Make a Photobook: Emerald City Comicon (ECCC) and Costumes Galore!

Comicons are a subculture in America.  It is now customary for people to come dressed up as their favorite characters from a variety of comic books, movies etc.  The more realistic the better.  The point of course is not a glorified Halloween, the point is to buy tons of stuff that these creative people create.  But Comicon culture has evolved just like any other cutlural phenomenon.  It creates hilarious memes across the internet and it's almost impossible for many Americans to explain to their foreign friends.

Every year there are a number of Comicons and one of the biggest annual exposition is in Seattle, Washington called Emerald City Comicon.

Will Harris at KOMONews.com calls Emerald City Comicon "Geek Ground Zero!"

"Stars, swag and geek dreams come true all on display for eager fans. The Washington State Convention Center became geek ground zero. As we waited for the 2 p.m. opening, the Skybridge was packed with fans."

This is straight from the horses mouth, from the Emerald City Comicon's website describing the events:
You'll get a chance to meet hundreds of artists and writers, a massive vendor room, a newly expanded Gaming area, media guests from your favorite shows, voice actors from the cartoons and video games you love and so much more!  Plus, we have over 130 panels this year, eight full rooms of programming!

Plus, an amazing Comicon comic that tells you the do's and don'ts while in Seattle. I love the one "Try Seatlles' famous brew (coffee), but don't have too much of their other famous brew (beer)!  Funny!

There's even a Tumblr with tons of stuff about Emerald City Comicon.  Some of the photos and comics and paintings are fun to see.
With all these photos and plus tons more over at Seattle PI.com one thing is as clear as crystal... somebody has got to make a photobook for all these fans!
