Do you use Flickr? Many millions do. But to what end? Can you really reach all those out there and show them your photos? What if you made a photobook using the best photos that you have? Could you get it published? or Would you just put it on the coffee table and never look at it? Are you proud of your photos? Do they tell a story?
These are 4 photos that I found on Flickr that reminded me of my time in China. They were chosen for the cultural stories that they tell. The captions are from the photographer. He took the first step of going through his old photos (these are slides that he has scanned.) There are many reactions to his photos and lengthy comments and captions on Flickr.
The culmination of this process is to make a finished product that stores your photos in the best possible way and is convenient to show others. That is a photobook.
Enjoy the pictures.

The sign says, "Increase the character of an ancient city. Build a civilized city." And there are some specific admonishments in the upper right side. I can't read all of them, but one is not to spit in the street. Another is something like put your trash in the proper place.
