Photobooks, Photos and Photography Links: Fires, Facebook, Egg and Twine, Photography School and Germans in Iceland!

Photos of the month. June 2012 Colorado Fires.  I don't think anyone wants to make a photobook about this!  YIKES!

Digital Trends has a good post about making a photobook from your Facebook photos.  It looks pretty easy to use. Check it out!

The New York Times writes:

"Horacio Coppola, whose black-and-white photographs of the cafes, side streets and neon-lit boulevards of Buenos Aires in the 1930s, and of ordinary objects like a typewriter and a doll, introduced avant-garde photography to Argentina, died on June 18 in Buenos Aires. He was 105."

From New York Times

Interesting thing but one of his photos is a piece of twine and an egg.  I guess when you do it the first time, you become famous.  If I do that today I wouldn't be famous.

There's a really cool piece of news out there about an ONLINE Photography Class!  COOL!

"Photography Training Academy, which is based out of Tampa Florida, is offering state of the art teaching methods to help the beginner photographer to shoot like the pros. Everyone wants to take great photos, so why shouldn’t you? If you want to start taking better photos, then the introductory online photography class entitled, "You Can Take Better Photos Now" is the perfect solution. It does not matter if you have a high end digital camera and have no idea what to do with all of the different settings or if you have a point and shoot digital camera or just use your camera phone, this class is designed not to just teach you the mechanics of how to work your digital camera but to help you think, see, and shoot photos like a professional photographer."

And in the most bizarre photobook concept that I've seen, here's a person seeking funding for a photobook about Iceland and the German women who live there.  Yes, we search the web for this news!  CRAZY!
