Who doesn’t love the autumn? Who doesn’t love October? Who doesn’t love the idea of free candy for everyone? Everyone does! Halloween is a very unique holiday in America where people dress up like other people or things and ask their neighbors for free candy. Strange right?
But you might have celebrated Halloween for years and of course you have those photos somewhere, right? This could potentially be the most embarrassing photo book ever!
1981: Mom tells me I was a pumpkin. Of course the cutest pumpkin in town.
1982: Second year I was a pumpkin. Probably a bit tighter than the year before.
1983: I was a doctor. The pumpkin outfit didn’t fit so we had to think of something quick.
1984: I was going to be a Smurf but I got sick this year. I tried to convince mom and dad that I could go around as a sick child but they said no. I did help pass out the candy at the door.
1985: I was an artist. I used my mom’s old beret and carried with me a few paint brushes and a color palette.
1986: I was a tiger. My face was painted and it dripped all night off my face. It tasted pretty good though.
1987: I was Optimus Prime: Transformers were a craze back then and I made my own costume.
1988: I was a baseball player: I loved the Red Sox, and still do but not this year.
1989: I was a wizard. This one yes, I made my own costume out of construction paper, beard and all.
1990: I was a mummy. Yes, a toilet paper mummy. Don’t ask.
1991: I was a fat soldier. I borrowed my grandfather’s military jacket and hat and stuffed a pillow up inside.
1992: I was a court jester with the hat. Most of the neighbors told me I wasn’t very funny.
1993: I went as myself. I got a remarkably small amount of candy that year.
1994: my father refused to allow me to go out. He claimed I was too old. WHATEVER!
All these years translate into a book with an explanation would create a photo book that any mother would love!
How about you? What did you celebrate Halloween as through the years!? Which was your favorite?
