What’s the best cover photo for my photo book? 6 questions to ask.

When making the perfect photo book a lot of times people are stumped about which photo to choose to be on the cover.  Should it be a landscape?  Should it be a person?  Should it tempt someone?  Should it introduce what the book contains?  So we put together a checklist of points to remember and questions to ask when deciding the photo for the cover of your wonderful photo book.

1.  Does it communicate the feeling or vibe of the book?

2.  Is the layout of the photo going to look good as the cover?

3.  If the photo has a person, does the photo beg you to open it and read!?

4.  Are you proud of that photo?

5.  Is it a group photo?  IS it clear or set back far away so it’s hard to see clearly or is it up close and clear who the people are?

6.  Are there many things going on in the picture?

Can you think of anymore?
